About Me

Hello, my name is Jeff Harris! I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I am chef by day and aspiring blogger by night. A culinary aficionado and food addict.

With over 10 years of experience honing my skills in several high-end establishments spanning from the United States to France, I have been privileged enough to be able to open my own bistro specializing in French cuisine.

After having completed my studies in 2006, I managed to secure an internship at a high-end restaurant in southern France and made the big move. Little did I know, that would be the beginning of a passionate career. While studying in France I was lucky enough to make quite a few good friends that were able to help me establish myself within the restaurant industry, which also assisted in building some very important connections that I still work with till this day.

I’ve created this blog in order to provide cooking enthusiasts with accurate information about Dutch ovens as I feel that the best results come from using the right tools. Since I’ve been around French cuisine for the most part of my career, I’ve definitely grown quite fond of quality cookware and I can definitely attest that the quality of a Dutch oven can really determine the success or failure of a dish. I am hoping that this blog will help people with any questions and/or concerns they may have about them.
